EPDM
|
EPDM
or Ethylene Propylene Diamine Monomer is a high density
rubber that is very durable. EPDM has some characteristics
that make it especially suitable for gaskets, electrical
insulation and lamination. EPDM can be finished to an extremely
smooth surface. EPDM has great resistance to abrasives,
tearing, solvents and high temperatures. EPDM has excellent
flexibility at high and low temperatures.

Specific
Graviy
|
The
density (or weight) of a substance relative to the density
of pure water. Water has a specific gravity of 1.0. Iron
weighs 7.85 times as much as water, so Iron has a specific
gravity (sometimes abbreviated as 'SG') of 7.85.

swing
ring

This
is an extension that is bolted on the end of a mold to increase
capacity. This allows a single mold to produce multiple
sizes of tanks or other products that will only vary in
length or height.
|
virgin
|
In
the context of rotational molding, this refers to the use
of new (unused) resin that does not have any re-cycled material
added.
